Undergraduate Academic & Degree Requirements |
Eligibility
Requirements can vary according to your degree and major. In order to participate in a graduation exercise and/or receive a diploma, you must submit a completed Application for Graduation to your academic advisor by the posted deadline.
Transfer Coursework
All transferred course work needed for undergraduate degree conferment must be received by the Registrar's Office by the official census date of the graduating term. Census date is defined as the 12th class day for Fall and Spring graduations, and the 4th class day of Summer I for summer graduation.
Graduation under a particular catalog
You may receive a baccalaureate degree upon satisfying the requirements of
the catalog under which credit was first earned in this University or upon satisfying the
requirements of the catalog of any subsequent year in which credit was earned as a student
in the University. This provision is subject to the restriction that all requirements must be
completed within six years of the date of the catalog chosen and that the University still offers
programs and required curriculum described in the earlier catalog. If you transfer
from a public community college in Texas may choose to graduate under the university
catalog in effect at the time you first earned credit at the community college or a
later catalog in effect when you earned credit at either the community college or the
University. This provision is subject to the six-year restriction stated earlier.
Certification or licensure requirements are subject to change. Students enrolled in programs leading to certification or licensure must meet all current requirements, regardless of the catalog chosen.
